Bridging Borders Through Education: HELP Dadaab, Awet Charity & Cambridge College Unite for Distant Learning in Dadaab
In the heart of Dadaab, one of the world’s largest refugee camps, a quiet revolution in education is unfolding. HELP Dadaab, in partnership with Awet Charity and Cambridge International
College, has launched a transformative initiative to distribute learning materials to students enrolled in distant learning programs—bringing academic opportunity to those who need it most.
A Vision Rooted in Empowerment
HELP Dadaab has long stood as a beacon of hope for displaced communities in Kenya, offering support in education, healthcare, and livelihood. This latest collaboration reflects their unwavering commitment to advancing education for young people regardless of background, race, gender, or religion.
Awet Charity, known for its grassroots efforts in East Africa, joined forces with HELP Dadaab to ensure that the distribution of materials was not only efficient but deeply responsive to the needs of learners on the ground.
And at the heart of it all is Cambridge College, whose distance learning programs have opened doors for over 200 students in Dadaab to pursue diplomas and higher education—many for the first time.
Learning Materials That Make a Difference
From textbooks and reference guides to digital resources and stationery, the materials distributed are more than just supplies—they’re lifelines. For students juggling the challenges of refugee life with the demands of academic study, these tools offer structure, support, and a tangible sense of progress.
Stories of Hope and Achievement
The impact is already visible. In February 2024, over 200 students graduated from Cambridge College through HELP Dadaab’s support, marking a milestone not just for the individuals but for the entire community. These graduates are now poised to become educators, health workers, and advocates—proof that education truly changes lives.
A Call to Action
This initiative is a reminder that meaningful change happens when organizations come together with a shared purpose. HELP Dadaab, Awet Charity, and Cambridge International College are showing the world what’s possible when compassion meets strategy.
